A mini-vacay is the perfect time to play in the yarn stash and stitch dictionaries. This yarn recently arrived and is from Skein.
This is a new to me fiber artist and I'm totally smitten with her colorscapes. This color is Dapple, and I can totally see light coming through a dense canopy of branches to bounce off the leaves from the foliage below. Of course, in my mind's eye, it's autumn foliage!
I asked Mr. NK to pick a color for the next pair of socks, he picked green...I picked this skein.
Did you know that Green is:
Soothing
Relaxing mentally as well as physically
Helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety
Offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony
A perfect color for winter! :)
Green is the prime color of the world,
and that from which its loveliness arises.

Dapple socks by me (again) in Skein top draw sock yarn in 'Dapple'

ReplyDeleteOk you and Camilla and I must be on the same wavelink because she has sent green magnolia that has some of the same colors and I am working with it right now.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so refreshing today! I love thinking about green.
Is in not wonderful to have some time off, I am enjoying my time off way too much!
I just discovered Skein recently as well! Thank goodness I found her when I did and was able to make two orders before the great yarn diet of 2011! I got dapple in lace and I can't wait to use it.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm - from unavailable yarn to unavailable patterns! What am I going to do with you, NK Woman??!!! Beautiful yarn and photos but, not sure if it can save you from a "poop" comment!
ReplyDeleteHugs, laughs, and wish for a happy/poopy New Year.
You know who.
That is pretty! I'll have to look into Skein.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovey colorspace. I haven't run across Skein before. I shall have to look into it!
