without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.

kindness

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

Something new flew onto the needles...I really need to stop with the castonitis...it's a little out of control!

Sign of Four socks by Anne Hanson designed for Woolgirls' Victorian writers club last year. I finally cast on using the ZYG 'lemon meringue' Serenity 20 - a yarn from a recent WG flavour series kit.

Yum.

That's it for now...more later!!
Happy Monday!

at play

I'm a little obsessed with macarons...

...and how their glorious colors complement my knitting. ok...they're delicious, too! Busted!

And you all know how much I like playing with my food and knitting in front of the camera!

Everything goes better with a sprinkle of powdered sugar!

Picot edges are a knitterly dessert in my book.

And below...a pistachio dessert from Pix Patisserie.

dessert first

You know how I love to play with food...and yarn...and food and yarn together.

These macarons from Pix Patisserie were perfect for some weekend fun!

My Toasty Twist socks are finished...go check out the other lovely socks knit by Marion and Jose during our little mini-KAL on Ravelry...you can search projects using toastytwistkal to search tags, and if you want to join in the toastytwistkal fun feel free to tag your project!!...I think Rani is about to start a pair, too...it's never too late to join in!! You know we'll be knitting more than one pair!!

I hope you're having a good start to your week!!

violetta verde

The minute I saw these socks I knew I had to knit them. The designer used the Fibonacci sequence of numbers as the foundation for establishing the changing twist pattern. I heart the Fibonacci number sequence and hadn't used it since pre-Ravelry in my knitting.

It was time.

I had some Dream in Color Smooshy Cashmere yarn in the stash waiting for the right project.

I think I did ok.

Happy Friday!
Happy June!
Happy weekend!! xo
