belief

I spent the afternoon in a park yesterday.
Everyone needs to take some time
to take in the crisp autumn air...

...to explore a little...

...and to sit a little...

...quietly.

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

heart paths

Look at every path closely and deliberately, then ask ourselves this crucial question:
Does this path have a heart?
If it does, then the path is good.
If it doesn't, it is of no use.

arriving

We went for a little road trip this past weekend.
We explored two states and 5 counties.
I shot everything from street to moon by the time we headed home.

I took socks with me just in case there was an opportunity for a glamour shot!

out and about

I've been spending more time out and about with my camera
and less time knitting lately.

I did manage to get a shot of  the 'pointless counts' socks while
out and about Friday morning at waterfront park (my new favorite hangout!).

Are you enjoying the first days of Autumn?
I certainly am...I have waited a year for its return
and I've been doing a happy dance since 1:44p.m. yesterday when summer turned to autumn.

All work that is worth anything is done in faith.

still sizzling

Knitting happened this past weekend.
Not just knitting...but some fabulous time spent with a group of friends I hadn't seen in
a very, VERY long time. Nothing can top that!

I love that linen stitch heel...I wish I could memorize it though.
My face crinkles when I knit it from concentrating so hard! LOL!

We also went to see 2 Guns. Very fun summer movie.

I read somewhere that the first five days after the weekend are the hardest.
So. True.

I hope your week is going well!!

But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.

pointless counts

we're ending the week on a knitterly note here at we heart yarn! yay!
i've had my eye on this stitch pattern for quite awhile...
...it seemed like a good time to cast on and get 'em done.

my to do list for the weekend includes knitting, photography, breakfast out, movie night (2 guns!!)
and cleaning up all the little piles of knitting and such that seemed to have popped up
over every flat space as far as the eye can see.
oy.

what about you? hopefully your plans will be more exciting than mine!!
whatever your plans are (please, do share!) - i hope you have a ton of fun!! xo

looking forward

This summer is blowing past me.
I can't believe we are less than two days away from August.

It seems like the cooler days of autumn are just around the corner!!
(happy dance!!)

I'll be prepared with a new pair of socks!
And ... I'm especially looking forward
to hunkering down with my pile of magazines during the longer nights.

What are you looking forward to as we roll into August?

To acquire the habit of reading
is to construct for yourself a refuge from almost all the miseries of life.
