my colors

Say hello to 'Canopy' by Sam Roshak. One of the last two sock patterns from RSC 2010.

The colorway has no name yet...there's a club contest to officially name it, but I've dubbed it "my colors"! Because...well...they are!! :)

Can't you just see the leaves twirling around your ankles, feel the crisp air in your face, smell the woodstoves burning?

How could I not knit the sock that had a modified picot edge? I modified it a bit more, but stayed true to the vision of the designer.

I love this color. Love. It.

And the little eyelets that continue spiraling around the leg and down the foot are way too cute.

Good morning!! That's quite a "sunrise" isn't it?!

Yep...something new. These will be the "my heart beets 4U" socks designed by Anne for the RSC July kit. The yarn is STR light in 'Firecracker', part of the club kit so it's not available just yet.

No beets in the pantry for the photoshoot this week, but I've been walking and picking blackberries the last few nights...much yummier than beets!!

When this yarn arrived in the mail last week, I just had to get started on it!!

The yarn is from the March RSC and is named 'My Wild Irishgirlie'.

How apropos is that, considering the designer of this particular sock is friend and designer extraordinaire Carrie, aka IrishgirlieKnits!

These socks are just lovely and I couldn't wait to start them. Thank goodness I have a bajillion sets of needles and didn't have to wait to actually finish a pair of socks to free up a set! Hah!

The pattern is called 'Slip Jig' and boy will my feet be doing a happy dance when these socks are finished!! :)

On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined.
