Earth Day: 2009

We are so blessed to live in a place that is so rich in color and texture,

flora,

and fauna.

From the simple strawberry blossom

to this most interesting spider hiding among the lichen.

Beauty can be found along the roadside

as well as in woodlands.

"Green" is the word of the day. Green should be the word everyday...for life.

Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth.
~Henry David Thoreau

Thank you for the beautiful reminder of Earth Day. As always, you have captured the beauty in the simplest of things. Have a wonderful day.

The photos of the flowers and plants are beautiful. But, it's the Canada Geese photo that I just love. I love them and was honored to briefly take care of an orphaned gosling when I was younger. To me, to hear their honking means the official change of season in Alaska.
Happy Earth Day!
