winter blooms

The witch hazel is beginning to bloom.

Spring can't be too far behind.

The first Flaming Desire sock was completed at the very end of 2009...

...and the second one is well on its way to completion.

OH HO! You temptress - spring is dead asleep here. sigh.

What am I talking about! I LOVE snow. In fact, the wind is howling around the corners of my house and I'm snug and warm. Maybe I'll knit to a cup of coffee.

I have never seen witch hazel before. It's really interesting and beautiful.

Don't you just love witch hazel? We just got back from a late night walk and noticed that it's blooming here, too....a very good sign!
