time

This is only the second time for this pattern.
And the first time for the yarn.

It appears I started these socks back in October...2015.
It is now February.
If you've been following me, you know that "back in the day" I could complete
around 2 pairs of socks in a month.
Times change.

I love the socks and yarn, and
I was very happy to have the opportunity to try a new cafe...
Cathedral Coffee...in north Portland...for this photoshoot.

Their latte art was impeccable.
I better get back to my knitting or it will be October of 2017
before these socks are wearable!

We have so much time and so little to do.
Strike that, reverse it.

I quit my job August a year a go. My first year I focussed on catching up with friends and family, and knitting. All the projects I didn't have time for before, all the gifts. Now I am giving myself permission to choose reading or writing or sewing. Plus I am more intentionally active. I still love my knitting, but I am happy to have other passions too.

I feel your pain. Back in the day, I could do the same thing and work full time plus some. Then MS came to visit, I had to retire from my beloved job and it took a year and a half to knit one sock. I am on number two and am hoping for under a year on this one. Sometimes, life gets in the way. Your socks are gorgeous!

I've slowed to a crawl as well. I'm pleased as always to see your beautiful knits! The latte looked yummy.
