I'm Back

Color, color, color....the Madrona show was loaded with color and texture

We had dueling wheels...that would be 'Faulty Dyer' to the left and Cockeyed to the right!

Our floor had a glass essay by Susan Taylor Glasgow

You can see and read more about her here.

There was a very cool fire place in the bar...back to that bar thing again...I can attest that the hot chocolate was mighty fine!

The sock monkeys were a hit! These little guys travel with the Sockateers; you can read more about all of their adventures here. The life size horse with a lamp on its head in the bar...bad idea.

Great fun was had by all! I have never laughed so hard in my laugh! It was awesome to spend time with Tina, Debbie, Marilyn, Susan and Carol...and to meet new fiber friends from around the country, too!

Look at all that color! Love it!! Just three days until I get to see it up close!! Well, probably not so up close and serene, more like, surrounded by loads of knitters!

So glad you had a fun time!

I've just been staring at that picture of all that delicious yarn. So delicious. And I just bought my first skein of Blue Moon (Fire on the Mountain). sigh.

I LOVE the idea of knitting a sock monkey - and taking pictures of it wherever I go. Can I copy that idea!?!?!? It's fantastic. Maybe i'll knit a different creature, but it's still a fab idea.

Glad you had such fun. I had fun reading about it.

Oh my gosh that looks so amazing! Why do (almost) all of the fiber festivals in the NW have to happen when I'm not there? Its ok though - I'll just eat Viennese tortes instead :)
