friday's flowers: the golden hour

The golden hour...that brief period of time before sunset when the light is warm and shadows are soft.

We were lucky to take an evening walk during this time earlier this week. I learned that photography is good exercise, as I squatted down for the shots so many times over the course of our walk that my quads were sore the next day! Who knew!?

Get on your walking shoes...we're heading out.

Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness,
to pull another hand into the light.

Gorgeous photos as always. Is that your dog? I've never seen him before. He fits right into the colour scheme :0)

Great photos that have captured the essence of fall!

Not tonight, but fortunately we are getting to the part of the year where the golden hour isn't quite so stifling. This evening as been quite warm and windy. But I'm hoping to take advantage a time or two this coming week.

My gosh, that last photo is just stunning. Maybe this is an inappropriate question, but can I buy a print?

You know. I really should take my dog on more walks. Maybe a photo shoot is just the motivation I need. That and my dog staring at me with his leash in his mouth.

Every single image is spectacular. A beautiful meditation in light. I don't know enough about the golden hour.
