Happy Fall!!!!! I was thinking of you as I finished making NikonDave's Birthday Potatoe cake. He may be a Nikon lover, but his birthday is the Autumanal Equinox -usually anyway. Potatoe cake, yup, made with mashed potatoes. A kind of heavy spice cake, family tradition. Since it's in the 90's here this week - eek- the thoughts of Fall will sustain. And the sound of the dog scuffling through leaves in the backyard makes me smile. Hugs and Happy Autumn.
Fall is happy/sad for me. The cool air and colors are wonderful. But I sometimes feel like I didn't nurse all I could from the summer and it flew by too quickly.
I love that second photo - how the flower looks like it's reaching for the light and the light looks sparing in a way.
I thought of you when I knew it was the first of Fall!
