rolling along

The Seattle to Portland (aka STP) bike race rolled flew through our community last Sunday.
Oh my!! They pedal fast!

I was clicking away as fast as I could.
The bikers were so entertaining and most of them acknowledged the big white lens in front of them
in some way or another.

Some were too busy multi-tasking to notice the camera...

...some were having a total blast...it was already 80-something degrees in the sun,
and this man was happy as a clam.
I loved his smile!

Love this guy...it was horribly hot by this point (90-something I think) and he totally exerted the energy to flex for me (ahem) the camera! Too fun!!

I loved the experience of shooting an event like this! Thank you Jane for you workshop earlier this year.
I was better prepared for capturing/freezing/panning motion shots than I would have been otherwise!! :)

Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
Our plans seem to be a bit fluid...I'll keep you posted! Test knitting is complete, so hopefully we'll be
getting back to some knitting posts next week!

Whatever you do this weekend, I hope you have a blast! xo

There aren't enough days in the weekend.

That looks like a cool event! My oldest son loves to cycle and he rode his bike 1200+ miles last summer. He treated himself to a road bike for this summer, then promptly got a resident staff job at the cub scout camp. His riding will be limited this summer, but I always think he would love to be part of something like this :-)

Fun pics, love the flexed muscles ;0) I hope to just be able to raise a smile when I'm making that much athletic effort :0)

Those are awesome pictures! I love how you got the good clean shot with the blurred background! That is such a great effect.

I'm alone in my house (rare) and have weekend plans to go into my creepy cellar-old-farmhouse basement and start tossing. I have to put on gloves and a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and long pants with socks tucked in - that's how scared of spiders I am. Wish me luck....
