my colors

Say hello to 'Canopy' by Sam Roshak. One of the last two sock patterns from RSC 2010.

The colorway has no name yet...there's a club contest to officially name it, but I've dubbed it "my colors"! Because...well...they are!! :)

Can't you just see the leaves twirling around your ankles, feel the crisp air in your face, smell the woodstoves burning?

How could I not knit the sock that had a modified picot edge? I modified it a bit more, but stayed true to the vision of the designer.

I love this color. Love. It.

And the little eyelets that continue spiraling around the leg and down the foot are way too cute.

Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time
like dew on the tip of a leaf.

You make me smile this morning. Just the way you describe the sock takes my mind on a vacation.
These are my colors, too. It reminds me of the amazing earth formations in the deserts of Utah like Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon National Park.
Georgia OKeefe painted some of these layers of colors, too.
I have seen this at Lake Powell while I water ski through the dammed up Colorado River.
See I told you that you started me on a mental vacation. . .
Your socks are gorgeous.

Those are indeed your colors! I think they should name the colorway after you! :-)

I have blue eyes and pink cheeks, so I don't often wear desert colours. I don't think they will clash with my feet, though.
