De-Stashing, or not!

Who was de-stashing on Saturday? Well not this young mom, whose precious cargo was not part of the destashing!

It was a blur of fibery activity at the Blue Moon Fiber Arts De-stash sale!

Everything was for sale: Cones and skeins...STR, Koi, books, grab bags...you name it...it was in the barn...for a short time anyway!

Most shoppers were well behaved. I said "most", not all! :)

Once the bags of stash were acquired

there would typically be a a period of deliberation...a time to ponder and reassess whether all of it was really needed. And as we all know (Stella, you will learn...) NEED, is not a valid part of the deliberation equation. Trunk size is valid. Suitcase size is valid. Hence, if the stash made it to the deliberation table

it made it to the check out table, where the gleeful exchange of cash, check or credit card was the next order of business!

A great time was had by all!! Julie, Iris and I were ogling each other's acquisitions. Note Iris's superhero tight grip on that skein :) Not pictured as they were too busy madly grabbing politely reaching for skeins of yarn were Jen and Kevin, Michelle, and Carrie. Also spotted were Courtney, Sheryl, Tiana, and Susan!!! And for some extra unexpected fun I ran into Carrie (aka Irishgirlieknits) from We Do Not Have a Knitting Problem. Hi Carrie! Always fun to see you!

There was some concern that I would not survive the mad rush of shoppers! Alas, I survived intact! I was not trampled with only a wayward tuft of pink remaining! :) :)

I love seeing all of your posts lately. I also tagged you. :) I would've tagged LB too, but she's blogless.

Yeap! That's our pile... deliberating! The tough part is going to be sharing it with the other people once I get home! Hmmm...and now that there is documented evidence they are going to know what colors there are to choose from.. hehehe...maybe they won't see that pile on your blog! It was great to see you too Gail!

Pictures will be on my blog tomorrow once I fly home! Tina showed us the Raven colors too!! Sooooo pretty!!

Tee hee hee what fun! There is always that element of competition amongst even the best of friends when it comes to yarn sales. It makes me giggle. A good time.

ps. The Maple Monkey sock above is GORGEOUS! Love love love the colors.

Great photos! Next time I'll know to show up on time. I'm happy with my stash additions and what a lovely spot for a stash sale.

Ah, you called me a young mom--bless you! :) It sure was fun--even if I could only buy as much yarn as I could fit in one hand! The little one enjoyed it, too. :)
