back to blue

I don't think anyone told the sun that the first day of summer was yesterday. It was a no show.

Oh well.

I finished the first sock in this yarn over the weekend, and immediately cast on for the second.

Speaking of the weekend...I had a great one! I hooked up with a lot of friends at the fiber festival and had an overall grand time. We had fun spending time with the family on Father's Day; my mom made two pies: strawberry and chocolate cream...OMG. Yum.

And you? What did you do for fun this weekend?

Back to the socks...I'm speeding along on the second sock of this pair and will hopefully be finished soon. I'm loving this pattern, and the yarn is wonderfully soft.

I hope you're having a fabulous Tuesday!!

Oh! Before I forget...a few of you were wondering about the yarn and pattern from Monday's post...the yarn is STR in a rare gem colorway, and the pattern...well...a girl has to keep something for another post! :)

Thanks for the update on that last yarn. I'll be awaiting the pattern into too. You know how to keep a girl reading! (As if the gorgeous photos weren't enough.)

Heart the blue - perfect timing for the wonderful blue skies we saw today! Thanks for sharing!

That lack of sunshine was at least good for your photo shoot. Love the marble.

Beautiful blue skies out here in Aspen - and a terrible red sunburn to boot.
oops

You find the most perfect objects to pair with your socks--love the marbles. All the photos make me think of a refreshing dip in the sea.
