friday's flowers: a prologue

The summer is ending...I'm a dyed in the wool autumn girl, but even I am not ready for its departure. Sigh.

If you've been reading for awhile, you know that I do a big FF post of images from my mom's garden entitled 'Babette's garden'. This is my favorite post of the year to shoot and to write about, but it I'm not quite ready for the full post, so I thought I'd give you a prologue.

An "appetizer" if you will...

I'm almost done shooting...she has some new things this year, and I want to give them a wee bit more time to ripen...

...I hope you'll hang around for the main course!! It should be served up soon.

In the mean time, happy Friday! I have weekend duty at work, knitting and catching up from a very busy two weeks at work.

What about you? Any fun plans you'd like to share with us?

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! xo

Nice photos and great quote! Your mom's garden is a perfect illustration for that quote...can't wait to see more of it.

Happy Friday! I've missed your beautiful photos. Have a great weekend. Hoping it's less work and more knitting, photography and other fun. :)

Well, it's Saturday already!

I love that pink rosebud (so much promise!) and the white hydrangea.

This weekend: practice and play. The Day Old Pastries are singing in church tomorrow. We had practice this morning, and I can't stop singing! Love days like that.

Thanks for the appys for Babette's feast. We ran away to the city this weekend for a concert and meet up with old friends. I love the Pi shawl for knitting in the car!
Looking forward to the next course.
