seasons

The air is changing.

It is crisp and has just a whisper of moisture in it.

The days are noticably shorter.

I hear that Pumpkin Spice Lattes will soon return...a marker of the return of autumn, indeed.

I'm not ready to to say "good-bye" to summer just yet...

...almost, but not today.

To the attentive eye,
each movement of the year has it's own beauty,
and in the fame field it beholds, every hour,
a picture which was never seen before
and which shall never be seen again.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Starbucks had the Pumpkin Spice sign up today! And while it will by 100 again here in Sacramento, love the hint of fall from the NW---it helps me knit wool! Thank you for your beautiful and inspiring pics.

That is an especially nice bit from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Reading your blog, I'm reading more of the "great poets" than I've ever read before! It's nice when someone else picks out the best of the best! :)
And, as usual, your photos are stunning!

Fall is definitely in the air, even with record highs in the mid-90's last week. The mornings just have the scent and crispness to them. And, of course the pumpkin spice latte is a good hearalder of the coming season too. I love *anything* pumpkin!
