The Ever Increasing Projects....

"Unless a man undertakes more than he possibly can do, he will never do all that he can." ~ Henry Drummond

Yes, I am trying to find some justification as to why I keep casting on more and more projects! Why is one or two or even three never good enough? What is enough? Why do I always feel the need to have something new on the needles?

Yes, amongst all of the other things I'm trying to accomplish in the knitting world, I decided I needed to cast on yet another project. What am I thinking, you say? Am I crazy? Well, maybe, but I actually finished this project in less than a week and it was a lot of fun, and gave me some much needed lace knitting experience, and who can't use more of that? I decided I just needed to have this Branching Out scarf, which I found on the Knitty website. Beautiful pattern with beautiful results, and a great lace pattern to boot.

Here's a photo of the scarf just being created....

And here are a few additional photos of the completed scarf. I used the Elsebeth Lavold, Silky Wool, in an olive green tweed color, which is recommended in the pattern, and it worked out really well.

So, plans for the near future? Well, I need to get to work on finishing Kiri, so that is goal for this week. We'll see how I do. I'm 1/3 of the way done!

And, I see that NeuroKnitter gave us a teaser of her stash...here's a teaser of mine:

Lovely KnitPicks Palette yarn, which comes in this beatifully arranged box! You can imagine my joy when this arrived at my doorstep...such beautiful colors...I almost hated to take them out of the box. I have high hopes of starting some new Fair Isle projects in the near future....will post more on that later.

OK Girls, are we meeting this weekend at our favorite destination?
